Word going around is that we’ll be hearing new music from GOJIRA sometime later in the year. If your patience for their follow-up to 2016’s “Magma” is running out, then check out the above video, because it will bring you happiness. The band’s drummer Mario Duplantier has posted a new drum solo composition dubbed ‘Minotaur‘ on his YouTube channel, commenting:
“Here is another drum composition I recently created. I named it “ Minotaur”. This solo has been composed around a drum pattern I particularly love, the alternate single stroke roll “between the hands and the feet”. I’ve never used it with Gojira, but this effect can be spectacular.”
Gojira have some limited touring planned for 2020 thus far, here’s where they are slated to hit:
