SLIPKNOT – Comment On Metallica’s Postponed Tour

SLIPKNOT’s Australian/New Zealand touring plans with Metallica for later this year were recently postponed with the news that Metallica frontman James Hetfield has entered rehab for his addiction issues. The band have since issued the following statement on the matter:

“To our Australian and New Zealand fans and family,

We only recently heard the news about the tour being postponed, and we are working as quickly as possible to determine next steps. We will let everyone know as soon as we are able.

Of course, our thoughts are with James and Metallica. We wish them nothing but the best.

We hope to see you all very soon.

Slipknot

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa. The group was founded in 1995 during the height of the Nu-Metal era by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison, and bassist Paul Gray. Other Slipknot members in this nine-piece metal powerhouse are Corey Taylor, Mick Thomson, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Sid Wilson and Chris Fehn.
