FULL OF HELL – Debut New Song

FULL OF HELL have shared a new song dubbed “Army of Obsidian Glass.” The track, which features guest vocals courtesy of Lingua Ignota, appears on the band’s upcoming album, Weeping Choir, out May 17 through Relapse Records. You can have a listen above.

Lingua Ignota comments: “‘Armory of Obsidian Glass’ rips, and is probably my favorite FOH track to date, so it was a great pleasure to work on it. I wanted my vocals to provide a counterpoint to all the savagery, to pick up on and accentuate harmonic things happening in the music in an unexpected way. I think the effect overall is chilling, wild, and I’m excited for people to hear it — many thanks to my friends for letting me contribute to this amazing song.”

In certain circles, FULL OF HELL needs no introduction. This young band has made a name for themselves in a short amount of time, racking up a prolific touring and release history while exploring a gamut of sounds within the spectrum of extreme and avante garde music. Formed in 2009, the embryonic beginnings of FULL OF HELL display their palette at its most primitive, d-beat and blast ridden hardcore punk with spats of noise and caustic rhythm, and within a few short years, they have bloomed into a true force to be reckoned with within the punk and metal communities. 2014 saw the release of their now acclaimed double album collaboration with Japanese noise legend MERZBOW, which showed the band truly beginning to come into their own, combining elements of grindcore, death and black metal, punk and hardcore with a smattering of sonically laden power electronics and industrial pounding. 2016 saw the release of their collaboration with the thundering and depressive duo, THE BODY, entitled One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache. This acclaimed release was followed by a collaborative live tour, where the band bent expectations again in a whirlwind of electronic percussion and drone. 2017 was another prolific year for the band as they released their third proper full-length Trumpeting Ecstasy along with another collaboration with THE BODY entitled Ascending a Mountain of Heavy Light. Excessive touring ensued and now the band has signed with legendary label Relapse Records for their next full-length.

Now in 2019, FULL OF HELL make their Relapse debut with their most explosive album to date, Weeping Choir. Dynamic, pissed, and wholly urgent, the highly anticipated Weeping Choir is a definitive statement of intent by one of the underground’s most dynamic and virulent entities. FULL OF HELL have once again culled the extreme elements from hardcore, metal, and power electronics to redefine darkness and sheer brutality. Distorted guitars, and ominous, disparate electronics grind and gnash against rapid-fire drumming, as FULL OF HELL take themes of religion, loss, hatred, and set them ablaze. Recorded by the critically acclaimed Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio, Weeping Choir sees FULL OF HELL fully unleashed. Abrasive, confrontational, none equal!

Numb your mind.
