Post death metal act OCEANS have inked a worldwide record deal with Nuclear Blast.
After stirring up quite some internet dust for the past year, Oceans are now ready to take the next step by bringing depressive heaviness to the masses.
In celebration of the announcement, the band has released the (for now) digital only EP, Into The Void, featuring 5 intense, melancholic, fragile yet crushing masterpieces including an extraordinary cover of Marilyn Manson’s “The Last Day On Earth.”

Commented singer/guitarist/songwriter Timo Rotten: “We entered the void with nothing in our hands and resurfaced from the abyss with the power of a tsunami. This partnership will bring our vision to the world. The Oceans will rise and conquer the land. Expect death. Expect sorrow. Expect pain. But never forget the silver lining of hope on the horizon. Down in the dark we are many.”
Commented Markus Jakob, A&R at Nuclear Blast: “We are very happy to welcome Oceans to our ever-growing family of extremes. When I first heard their music, I was instantly captivated and just couldn’t stop. Oceans are just as heartfelt as they are brutal. The beauty of their music lies within the all-encompassing melancholy and depression – just as much as in the heavy and crushing moments. This is very unique and I am convinced with their very defined vision, the stunning visuals they present each and every time and their strong DIY attitude, Oceans will have a bright future.”
