MEGADETH’s 2001 album “The World Needs A Hero” and 2004’s “The System Has Failed” will be given re-releases via BMG on February 15th. Both reissues have newly been remastered by Ted Jensen (Guns N’ Roses, Mastodon) with select formats featuring bonus tracks. The CD and digital versions of the “The World Needs A Hero” will feature the bonus track “Coming Home“.
Meanwhile, the CD and digital versions of “The System Has Failed” will feature live renditions of “Time“/”Use The Man” and “Conjuring“. Both albums will also be reissued on vinyl without the aforementioned bonus tracks. Those pressings will mark both albums first vinyl release in North America. Megadeth themselves tentatively expect to release a new studio album in 2019 as well with more details to come.
