Legendary rock journalist, Randy “Rocket’ Cody of THE METAL DEN, is pleased to announce the top 10 bands competing for this year’s crown in the Battle of Unsigned Bands online contest. The following acts are named with their location. This semi final round is handled by 3 judges, who will score each band between 1-10 (10 being highest, 1 being lowest) based on their most current studio recording, and it must be either a full length album or an EP, NO singles will be allowed.
Semi-final round and final round point totals are added together for a total score. The championship round is based off your live performance captured via video. It must be loaded up to YouTube and amassed at least 1,000 views for consideration. As long as that number is reached by the start of Oct 31st then you’re safe, if not… you are disqualified.

“There was some killer talent that I scouted for this year’s contest and I feel that these ten bands are certainly the best of the best rocking the unsigned circuit today, so please make sure to visit their profiles and check them out for yourselves. If you dig them, spread the word, cool? Other than that, the Semi-final round of the competition is scheduled to go down on October 15th and the finals on Halloween (Oct 31st). May the heaviest damn band win!”
