VINNIE PAUL – Update On Official Cause Of Death Ruling

Late PANTERA drummer, Vinnie Paul Abbott, passed away on June 22, 2018, at the age of 54, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was said to have been found dead in his sleep. Today TMD can reveal that the coroner’s office has issued an update on the status for the official ruling in the musician’s untimely death.

***UPDATE: Vinnie Paul Died Of Natural Causes***

“The Clark County Coroner tells TMZ that Vinnie died of dilated cardiomyopathy — an enlarged heart — as well as severe coronary artery disease — a heart condition. We’re told he died of natural causes.”

Earlier, a spokesman named Dan K. for the medical examiner of Clark County states that an official ruling in the matter is currently still “Pending”. He also said no autopsy report will be made available to the public.

Fans will recall Video Bob Moseley early on from one of his social profile pages, claimed that Vinnie Paul succumbed to a heart attack. Well, he quickly removed that post, as the metal community next learned he was chastised by the Abbott family and Rita Haney for making such a irresponsible move.

The toxicology test typically takes 6 to 8 weeks, so looking at the fact we are now at the 8 week point, with still NO CAUSE OF DEATH RULING, either there is some stalling going on that indicates potential foul play has gone on, whether that be in the way the coroner handled the case, is still to be seen. What is known is that the Las Vegas police never summoned homicide detectives to the scene, so no formal investigation into homicide or suicide could have been conducted.

According to the research, heart attack rulings generally happen very quickly, within 2 weeks. So what is taking so long?

The official website for the Clark County coroner in Nevada tells us more about the process:

“Our forensic team evaluates and examines an average of 10 to 15 cases per day. All cases are examined, but not all are autopsied. Decisions to autopsy are based on all pertinent information surrounding the case, Nevada Revised Statutes and County ordinances. Forensic pathologists evaluate information gathered by our Coroner Investigators and determine what cases will be autopsied. Forensic staff members take x-rays and fingerprints for every case, if viable. For the majority of cases, this entire process will be completed in one day.”

Fans cried foul earlier this year when TMD posted eerie concert audio from the Alrosa Villa, dated December 8, 2004, when Vinnie Paul and his brother Dimebag were attacked by a lone gunman in Columbus, Ohio. Dime did not survive the attack, along with his bodyguard and other patrons/workers in the club that night. In the shocking unearthed audio, the emcee can be heard announcing the Abbott brothers news band, saying, “For the lamb of God, here they are, DAMAGEPLAN!”
