Since being handpicked by Ozzy Osbourne in ‘87 at the age 19 to become his latest and greatest lead guitarist, Wylde hasn’t stopped ripping up the rock world. Singer, songwriter, musician, rock god, New Jersey born Wylde’s incredible career has included the release of two solo albums, co-writing and performing on eight Ozzy Osbourne albums (debuting on No Rest of the Wicked in ’88), a multitude of collaborative and guest performances, and eight Black Label Society albums. BLS debut album Sonic Brew hit the shelves in ’99, and following on from 2005’s Mafia album, their 8th release Shot To Hell is due out this September through Riot! Distribution.
The self-proclaimed Al Bundy of metal, married to his high-school sweetheart, living outside LA with his three kids and seven dogs, this humble rocker has scored a plethora of awards. Voted ‘Most Valuable Player’ in the US Guitar World magazine three years running, plus ‘Best Metal Guitarist’ and ‘Number 1 Shredder’. Metal Hammer magazine awarded Wylde their ‘Riff Lord’ and ‘Golden God’ awards. There’s also his starring role in the Wahlberg/Anniston movie Rock Star, and several appearances in MTVs The Osbournes. Earlier this year Wylde was immortalized in the Rock Walk of Fame on Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard.

Zakk Wylde and the Black Label Society will headline the second stage at this year’s US Ozzfest dates, and Wylde also continues to be Ozzy’s leading axeman of choice, taking to the stage with the prince of darkness at selected Ozzfest shows. BLS continue their charge across Europe before heading south of the equator to awaken Australia with shows across the nation.
