And this place of child education is located across from Wonderland Ave School.

The existence of the secret Wonderland film facility remained unknown to the general public until the early 1990s, though it had long been rumored that the CIA operated a secret movie studio somewhere in or near Hollywood.

Victim Jay Sebring’s acclaimed hair salon sat right at the mouth of Laurel Canyon, just below the Sunset Strip, and it was Sebring, alas, who was credited with sculpting Jim Morrison’s famous mane. One of the investors in his Sebring International business venture was a Laurel Canyon luminary who I may have mentioned previously, Mr. John Phillips. Sharon Tate was also well known in Laurel Canyon, where she was a frequent visitor to the homes of friends like John Phillips, Cass Elliott, and Abby Folger. And when she wasn’t in Laurel Canyon, many of the canyon regulars, both famous and infamous, made themselves at home in her place on Cielo Drive. Canyonite Van Dyke Parks, for example, dropped by for a visit on the very day of the murders. And Denny Doherty, the other “Papa” in The Mamas and the Papas, has claimed that he and John Phillips were invited to the Cielo Drive home on the night of the murders, but, as luck would have it, they never made it over. As I detailed in my last grisly piece featuring “Sexy Sadie” of the Manson family, I made it clear that Charles “Tex” Watson did all of the actual killings of 7 people. After “Tex” shot Steven Parent in his car parked in the driveway of Cielo Drive, once they entered the Tate home, Sadie and other family members did so some stabbing, however, it was Tex who ended each person’s life. The women were not strong enough to do that kind of damage, so “Tex” had to step in with each victim to make sure they were dead.

Abigail Folger is said to have begged them to stop stabbing her saying, “I give up, you’ve got me. I’m already dead.”

Sadie just held the bloody woman down as “Tex” plunged a knife into her chest repeatedly.

During the savage killings, Patricia Krenwinkel stabbed Folger 28 times. Krenwinkel said later in court testimony that she complained afterward about how her hand hurt from the stabbings.

Author Dianne Lake claims that the autopsy reports confirm the ‘killing style’ taught to her and the others by Manson when using a knife. She describes this ‘style’ as “Jab and thrust, pull up.”

The final victim at 10050 Cielo Drive was Sharon Tate. Knowing full well that her friends were all dead, Sharon begged and pleaded for the life of her baby to be spared. “Please don’t kill me. I just want to have my baby!”

Sadie tells her side of the story:

“Tex went back outside, because the other man was on the lawn, still running and calling for help, and Tex proceeded to continue killing him. She said: “All I want to do is have my baby.” I knew I had to say something to her. before she got hysterical. And while I was talking to her, I knew everything I was saying—I was saying to myself. I wasn’t talking to her, but myself. “Woman, I have no mercy for you,” I told her, and that was myself talking only to me. Then the Folger girl started staggering outside, and Tex went after her. I just stayed there with Sharon. She was so quiet. And Tex came back in and said: “Kill her.” Just like that he said, “Kill her.” “Kill her.” I reached to grab hold of Sharon’s arms, but I didn’t want to kill her. I held onto her arms, and said: “Tex, I can’t kill her. I’ve got her arms. You do it.” So Tex stabbed her—in the heart. And again, and again.”

Without showing any emotion whatsoever, Atkins held Sharon Tate down while Watson stabbed her multiple times, killing the Hollywood actress who was 8 months pregnant. Sadie (Atkins) then used Sharon’s blood to write “Pig” on the front door. Oh, wait a minute … we can’t quite move on just yet, as I forgot to mention that Sebring’s Benedict Canyon home, at 9820 Easton Drive, was a rather infamous Hollywood death house that had once belonged to Jean Harlow and Paul Bern. The mismatched pair were wed on July 2, 1932, when Harlow, already a huge star of the silver screen, was just twenty-one years old. Just two months later, on September 5, Bern caught a bullet to the head in his wife’s bedroom. He was found sprawled naked in a pool of his own blood, his corpse drenched with his wife’s perfume. Upon discovering the body, Bern’s butler promptly contacted MGM’s head of security, Whitey Hendry, who in turn contacted Louis B. Mayer and Irving Thalberg. All three men descended upon the Benedict Canyon home to, you know, tidy up a bit. A couple hours later, they decided to contact the LAPD. This scene would be repeated years later when Sebring’s friends would rush to the home to clean up before officers investigating the Tate murders arrived.

Bern’s death was, needless to say, written off as a suicide.”
