Bummer news to report. Acclaimed rock journalist and photographer, Eric Hendrikx, was seriously injured on August 3rd when he was involved in a motorcycle crash while in Switzerland. A GoFundMe has been set up to help out with hospital costs. Here is the official word:
“On August 3, 2017 we received the devastating news that Eric was involved in a serious motorcycle accident while in Switzerland. He was airlifted by helicopter to a nearby hospital, was placed in an induced coma and breathing ventilator. He has a broken collarbone, shoulder injury, back injuries, fractured bones, punctured lung, kidney damage and some internal injuries & bleeding. He will be having surgery once he is more stabilized. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Eric is an amazing single dad to his son, Stone. He’s a wonderful family member and great friend to many. With mounting medical expenses & loss of ability to work while he recovers, we decided to set up a fund so that Eric can focus on his recovery and not have to stress about finances while he is incapacitated and out of the country. If anyone is interested and able to help out, please donate what you can. It would be greatly appreciated. If you’re not able to donate, please keep Eric and our family in your prayers. Thank you all for your thoughts, love and prayers for Eric, Stone & our family. It means everything to us! God bless you all!”

Eric co-authored Bringing Metal To The Children with Zakk Wylde and has been writing for Rolling Stone and Revolver Magazine. He is one of the good guys, so make sure and send him some love.
