ABBATH – Walked Off The Stage Early At Festival

ABBATH reportedly walked off the stage a few songs into the band’s set at Inferno Fest. The organizers of the festival issued this comment:

“We are very sorry that Abbath left the stage after 30 minutes into their show. Of course this has nothing to do with the festival and an official statement will come from the band. We hope you all had a great festival even that the night was cut a bit shorter than expected. Thanks for your understanding!”

Nothing official has arrived from Abbath yet, but we’ll update when it does. In the mean time, where’s what a few festival attendees commented via Facebook:

Martin Undfors: He played 4 songs and it sounded Super-great! Awesome energy on stage and everything was good. But then he suddenly throws his guitar in the floor hard as fuck and walks of stage. Then drumsolo for some minutes before they close the gig.
J-p Kneip: Can confirm, 4 songs in, everything seemed ok, then he leaves the stage. We thought it was a technical issue and the drummer played an improvised solo, I think he didn’t know what was going on either. After that, he went backstage too and 10 minutes later, one of the Inferno guys came on stage and said that they (the band?) had asked him to tell people they wouldn’t finish the show and that they would issue a statement later. It’s very unprofessional, even if there were technical problems or problems within the band, the show must go on.
