SCUMRIPPER – Self-Titled EP On 7″ Vinyl

HELLS HEADBANGERS is proud to present SCUMRIPPER’s self-titled EP on 7″ vinyl. Self-released digitally late last year, Scumripper is the nasty, sewage-drenched debut offering from this trio of vocalist/guitarist Rat Pitt, drummer Son Stalker, and bassist Cliff Hunger. With an MO like that, it’s no surprise that SCUMRIPPER charge forward with a short ‘n’ swift attack of grinding metalpunk rooted in the likes of Repulsion, The Mentors, Abscess, and Autopsy’s punkest moments.

It’s violent and vile, but also immediately memorable and mandatorily headbanging. A cursory reading of some of Scumripper’s song titles – “Shit Needle Crown,” “Cum Killa,” “Run to the Pills,” and especially “Gutter Heights” – should soundly spell out exactly where these three miscreants are coming from. Take a quick trip through the gutter with SCUMRIPPER, and await their forthcoming debut album from HELLS HEADBANGERS!

Stench from the grave caught up with the band in 2016:

SFTG: You released your first demo in 2015. Tell us about it and what´s next for Scumripper?

SCUMRIPPER: After a few rehearsals we decided to book a weekend for the recordings, just to make sure that we get things done and the band doesn’t dry out. There’s always a risk when people live in different cities and have other bands as well. In November we went to our rehearsal place in Lappeenranta to record a demo/EP. Cliff Anger did all the engineering and mixing, me and Son Stalker just played our parts. We got it together very fast and the result sounded even better than we had hoped for. We put the tracks on bandcamp straight away and planned on self-releasing it as a cassette as well. But before we managed to finish the layout and order the tapes, Ignacio of Caligari Records contacted us and offered us a deal on the cassette run. We were convinced that he and his label should do us good so we went with Caligari and couldn’t be more satisfied: the cassettes look great and he did some very good promotion for the release.
