ANTROPOFAGUS – Streaming New Track

Italian death metal act ANTROPOFAGUS has released a new track called “Spawn of Chaos”, taken from the band’s upcoming third full-length, “M.O.R.T.E. – Methods of Resurrection Through Evisceration”, which will arrive in stores on May 12th, 2017 through Comatose Music (CD) and Everlasting Spew (vinyl).

Explains guitarist Francesco Montesanti the changes the band has made concerning writing and recording the album: “We decided to go with a warmer and “fatter” sound this time. Tunes are more straight to your face than the ones in AOL, more groovy, I’d say this is the most old schoolish and evil Antropofagus album to date. Me and Dave Billia (drums) worked hard to make sure this album would’ve had a deeper, sanguineous sound and I’ve also went from a 6 to a 7 strings guitar this time.”

Antropofagus were born in 1998 from an idea of the guitar player Francesco (Meatgrinder).
The band immediately started to write shredding and complex brutal death metal, getting lots of props from the underground labels. In 1999 the band shows a good musical maturity, and the first demo-CD reached a big success: two songs taken from it have been included on “Neuralcollapse”, a brutal compilation with some underground freaky bands as Deeds Of Flesh, Sepsism, among others.

Antropofagus signed a deal with the Italian label Beyond Procutions – today known as Masterpiece Distribution – and on December 1999 the band published its first full length album, “No Waste Of Flesh”, strongly inspired by US masters of brutality such as Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse and Deeds Of Flesh.
“No Waste Of Flesh” is now considered a “cult album” by the brutal freaks worldwide.
