METALLICA – “(Gaga) Brings It… We Cannot Wait Until Next Time!”

The dress rehearsal video of Lady Gaga performing with METALLICA before the ‘dead mic’ plagued Grammys performance has been posted online – and everyone is going apeshit because this is how it was ‘originally intended to be’ and it’s time for all of us to jump on the MetalliGA bandwagon now.

Uploaded on her YouTube channel HERE, Metallica also shared footage of their dress rehearsal with Lady Gaga on Metallica’s dot com with zero technical difficulties.

Metallica issued the following statement: “Perhaps you’ve heard by now that we experienced a slight bit of a technical difficulty when we hit the stage at the Grammy Awards with Lady Gaga a little over [two weeks] ago … hmm, would that qualify as an understatement?!? For those of you who missed it, we’ve posted the live broadcast version.”

“We’ve had so many of you ask and wonder ‘what if,’ so we thought it might be fun to also share with you what happened just a few hours earlier that day at the dress rehearsal with all cylinders firing just right. Collaborating, hanging and performing with Gaga was easily one of the most exciting, inspiring and enjoyable experiences of our career — she BRINGS IT every single time!! All we have to say is that we absolutely cannot wait until next time!”

Next time? So there is truth to the news circulating at the end of last month as reported by WJLA in Washington, suggesting Lars Ulrich had indeed offered Lady Gaga a spot in the group, inviting Gaga to join the band onstage for their upcoming U.S. tour in May whenever her schedule allows.

Why is the band pushing Gaga so hard on all of us? We get it, okay? Y’all had a fun time together. Summer camp kind of bullshit. Then things kinda fucked up at the start of the Gaga gig but then they closed out with no snafus. But come on, are they really dead serious about putting Gaga in the band, be it as a touring member or perhaps maybe even on the next studio record?

Looking more closely at the dress rehearsal footage, at the 4:07 mark Gaga seems to be off in La La Land, adding her own spin on the vocals for the song. It is definitely risky waters for a group who made its brand as a thrash metal act. Frankly, Gaga singing like this does not belong in any hard rock or metal band. On this song in particular it sounds like she is singing R&B!!

God and Lars only know what is going to happen next. Will Gaga show up swinging those hips live with the band on tour next or is it possible if enough of us pissed off fans who don’t want to see Gaga in Metallica ever again can make such a stink to Lars, James, Kirk and Robert that they will back off the stupid idea once and for all.
