Prosthetic Records are pleased to announce the signing of REBEL WIZARD to their roster and will reissue their latest LP, Triumph of Gloom, on February 24, 2017 worldwide.

Rebel Wizard is a creation from Australian musician NKSV, who’s most well known for his work with the black metal/noise group Nekrasov, that can’t be summed up with one simple label. While containing traces of black and thrash metal roots, with a touch of NWOBHM and the epicness of power metal, Rebel Wizard have coined the term ‘negative metal’ to describe his unique sound. Negative Metal is described by NKSV as “an anarchic alchemical process of outsider energies respecting the power of traditional triumphant metal into a unique sound to smash out the coerced gloom and banality of our times”. The term is not meant to be construed with the sense of depression or nihilism, but instead to focus on self negation, a doing away of limiting one’s full potential by limiting oneself to a category or label and Rebel Wizard seek to destroy any hindrance of this sort with triumphant pounding fists.

Formed in 2012 by NKSV, Rebel Wizard act on instinct and have absorbed the emotional impact of over thirty years of listening to various metal genres to develop his inborn sound heard starting with the release of his first self-titled demo in 2013 throughout his five EP’s in 2015, a mini-album and his most recent full length album Triumph Of Gloom.

Described as “an electrifying, high-intensity collection of absolutely masterful riffs and scintillating lead guitar pyrotechnics, organized into songs that are powerfully addictive from the very first listen” (No Clean Singing), Triumph Of Gloom will be re-released by Prosthetic Records on February 24 and will include a bonus track entitled, “Defenders of the Gloom.” Pre-orders will be available starting January 12 in addition to the reveal of the first single at http://www.store.prostheticrecords.com as well as across all digital providers (iTunes, Bandcamp, Amazon, etc).
