LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe has shared the tale of a fan named Wayne Ford he first met at a show a few years back. Ford was engaged in a brave fight against leukemia that ultimately claimed his life in early 2015. The two became friends during their time together and his life and cancer battle inspired a song titled “The Duke“. That track was recorded during the sessions for Lamb Of God‘s latest album, “VII: Sturm und Drang“, but didn’t appear on the effort. Instead, an EP for that track titled “The Duke” is tentatively set for a December 02nd release date and is to feature the following tracks:
01 – “The Duke”
02 – “Culling”
03 – “Still Echoes” (live at ‘Rock am Ring‘)
04 – “512” (live at ‘Rock am Ring‘)
05 – “Engage The Fear Machine” (live at ‘Bonnaroo‘)
Blythe has shared the story of Ford‘s fight and their friendship in the below HERE, with a text version available at Lamb-of-god.com. Should you be interested in doing your part against Leukemia & Lymphoma, you find more info via The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
