Denver-based doom metal legion KHEMMIS has unveiled the new single “Three Gates,” through an exclusive premiere at Decibel Magazine, the track culled from their incoming second LP, Hunted, which will see release through 20 Buck Spin in October.
Decibel was an easy choice for the new premiere, as the magazine has regarded KHEMMIS as one of the best bands of the style since word of their debut LP Absolution was announced last year, the album making the mag’s #9 position in their top albums list in 2015. Hunted is already being embraced by the publication, their upcoming November issue bearing a lead 9/10 review of the album, a slab of the hearty write-up stating in part, “KHEMMIS’ reverence for yesteryear’s loudest riffs resonates in their musical choices without defining them.
