Scottish Power Metal group GLORYHAMMER are among 11 new bands confirmed for Bloodstock Open Air 2016 today, with just two months more left to wait!
Gloryhammer, formed in 2010 and having released two studio albums dealing with themes of fantasy and Scottish history will appear on the Ronnie James Dio stage early on Friday 12th August.
Second new bands confirmed for the main stage is Stoner Metal band Hark, all the way from Swansea, Wales. Hark released their debut album Crystalline on Season of Mist in 2014.
Confirmed for the Sophie Lancaster stage is Doom Metal group Mage, and London based traditional metal act The Heretic Order. Both will be performing on Saturday 13 August.
Sanguine, from Exeter, England, will then take on the Sophie stage on the early Sunday slot as will Finnish Melodic Death Metal act Whispered. Whispered, of Tampere, are renowned for their blend of Death, Power and Far Eastern themed Folk Metal.
For the opening slot on the Sophie stage on Thursday night we have Sublime Eyes, a Death Metal act from Stavanger, Norway. Technical Death Metal group Karybdis, from London will also appear to start the party as will Progressive Metallers Sumer and Irish band Psykosis.
Bloodstock will take place on 11-14 August at Catton Hall, Derbyshire. Headline acts include Twisted Sister, Mastodon, Behemoth, Gojira, Anthrax and Slayer.
