ROCKET RANT: It’s Time We Start Looking Out For Each Other!

With the continuing onslaught of gun shootings at venues around the globe, Rocket of TMD has issued an explosive new rant today:

It really is pathetic that in a day & age of ultra advanced technology, military might – and so called “brilliant minds” that we as a society still cannot figure out how to solve the problem of “rampage shootings”, mainly happening at clubs/venues around the globe where music is being played. Whether in America or France, this is an epic disgrace to see so many innocent people continue to die with no real solutions or policies put into place to protect any of us – or our loved ones – from falling victim to such a horrific tragedy in the future.

We have lost so many beautiful souls like Dimebag, now Christina Grimmie, and literally hundreds of others, of all races & religions – from the lower to middle social class to the filthy rich, young or old – who are snuffed out at the prime of their lives. The last thing that needs to happen is Liberals attempting to take away Americans constitutional right to bear arms so they can protect their home and family if an intruder wants to try and burglarize them. What needs to be done is public venues of any kind that twenty-five or more people can gather at needs to have strict guidelines/laws implemented wherein ARMED security (with a gun detector installed at the entrance) must be provided to GUARD against some sick fuck with an assault rifle walking up undetected and blowing UNARMED human beings away at point blank range.

If you think about it – it’s a lot easier to walk up on a much larger crowd that is gathered than a smaller one, because at some point I think people lower their defenses when they are around larger numbers. I’m no genius myself but I have been observing this situation for many years and feel that it just seems like the only way things will change is if we start to look out for each other a little better, you know what I’m saying? If you are at a club and there is no security then you need to be a little more “aware” of what is going on around you, dig it? It sucks.. but this is the new reality we live in. Lastly, and I feel most strongly about this. If you are a promoter or venue owner putting together a big concert (including post show autograph sessions) then it is YOUR JOB to make sure there is adequate security measures put in place or you should be held as accountable as the gunman themselves! Maybe just maybe then some of these public assassinations of innocents will come to an end… or at least be greatly reduced in their frequency. – ROCKET \m/
