As Closed Casket Activities prepares for the release of Pittsburgh-based ETERNAL SLEEP’s debut full-length, The Emptiness Of…, for official release this Friday, Invisible Oranges is streaming the entire merciless album early.
Recorded at Bricktop Studio with Andy Nelson (Harm’s Way, Weekend Nachos, Dead In The Dirt) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Obituary, Integrity), The Emptiness Of… bears ten brutalizing tracks, delivering the disastrously groove-laden attack of ETERNAL SLEEP’s death metal-fueled hardcore with crushing precision, showcasing the band’s wide array of metallic hardcore and grungy metal influences, concentrated into a bruising, groove-fueled attack. Alongside the record stream, Invisible Oranges notes of The Emptiness Of…, “A fresh-faced attempt at metallic hardcore, Pittsburgh’s ETERNAL SLEEP have been performing and recording since 2012 but on this year’s new LP The Emptiness Of…, the band has really started to come into their own. In particular, the crunchy, dirty breakdowns on tracks like ‘Last Kind Words’ and ‘Revisionist’ feel truly fresh a la Nails meets Integrity – two bands they happen to be performing alongside on their next run of dates.”
Endure the full album RIGHT HERE.
Closed Casket Activities will release The Emptiness Of… on all digital platforms and on 12″ color vinyl this Friday, May 20th.
