A fan with a truly great idea has come forward with a new cause. How about erecting a statue for the late Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister of Motörhead at The Rainbow Bar and Grill West Hollywood, CA. on the famed Sunset Strip? As the hard rock/heavy metal community knows, Lemmy recently passed away at the age of 70 due to cancer. People around the world would like a life statue to immortalize this Rock n Roll icon – legend. Here’s more from the person behind it: “The Rainbow Bar & Grill is 100% on board! We don’t have the artist yet … but we can ensure that we will get the best bronze sculptor on the planet!! We are reaching out to that world and working on the perfect match. These things usually cost between 50 and 80 thousand dollars but we’ve already found a bunch of artist that will get it covered for 30k. It takes a minimum of 3 months and a max of 6 months to create.”
