Canada’s epic metal quartet (and Wacken Metal Battle 2015 international champions) VESPERIA has announced that due to visa conflicts the group has been forced to cancel upcoming U.S. dates this November. Vesperia comments:
“Our friends, it is with deep displeasure and disappointment that we must cancel our upcoming US dates this fall on The Tempests Over the East Tour. We were notified that we would not be receiving our visas until the winter, making our attempt at crossing the US border impossible. Though we were given an opportunity to expedite the visas, it is just too expensive for us as an independent metal band at this time.
“We are truly sorry and apologize deeply to the fans, bands, promoters and our US agent for this news. We will definitely make it up to you all next year with a tour of epic proportions and a massive new album!
“That being said, we will still continue on with our Canadian dates and include an additional date in Fredericton, NB on Monday November 9. We also have some huge news to reveal soon! Thank you all for your understanding.”
This is just the latest tour in the U.S. to get nixed due to visa problems, with Black Tongue’s visa applications being rejected entirely for unknown reasons earlier this week.
