SLIPKNOT bassist Alessandro Venturella was taken to the hospital several songs into the band’s performance in Hartford, Connecticut last night.
Slipknot left the stage and after roughly ten minutes of confusion amongst concert attendees, frontman Corey Taylor reappeared to announce what was happening:
“I’m sorry to say that our bass player Alex had… something happened, we’re not sure what happened… he’s been put into an ambulance and is going to the hospital right now as we speak. But, I want you all to make some fucking noise for him – send him some fucking love. We had the choice to come back out here, we’ve had to modify some shit, but we’re going to fuckin’ keep on playing. It’s what we want, it’s what Alex would fucking want.”
As such, Slipknot continued their set as an eight-piece.
