U.S. metal act DIRE PERIL has announced that John Yelland (Disforia/Judicator) will be the band’s new vocalist. Yelland previously appeared on the band’s latest EP “Through Time and Space” along side King Diamond guitarist Andy LaRocque.
Yelland commented: “I’ve always really enjoyed Dire Peril’s music and always been curious what my voice could do for the band. I’m thrilled to be in the fold now and I’m quite confident this is going to be the best Dire Peril material you’ve heard yet!”
Guitarist and band founder Jason Ashcraft added: “I am very happy and honored to announce John as the new singer of Dire Peril. John and I have been friends for awhile now and I’ve always admired his voice. When he showed interest in filling the vacant spot there was no way I could pass it up. I strongly believe you will all be very happy with what you hear from him.”
Wasting no time on what new material would sound like with Yelland at the helm, the band has released a brand new single entitled “Planet Preservation,” which can also be downloaded for free from the Dire Peril Bandcamp site.
