Den Headz, PANTERA reunion rumors are heating up again. Could they finally reunite in honor of their fallen lead guitarist, Dimebag Darrell, and headline a future Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival? Don’t put your money aside for tickets just quite yet — but if tour co-founder John Reese had his way it would have happened already. Reese said in a new interview with Examiner.com that he’s approached the surviving member’s about the idea. For years fans have called for ex-OZZY guitarist Zakk Wylde to be named as the fill-in for the late great Dimebag. Nobody wants a reformation… simply some tribute concerts that reunites the surviving members: Vinnie, Rex and Phil. Pretty simple, right? After all, Vinnie says he holds no ill will toward his old bandmates any longer. So what is the hold up exactly?
Reese explains: “I’ve approached (Vinnie, Rex and Phil) about doing it. Do I think it’s going to happen? I have no idea. I know that a heavy, heavy tragedy happened and there are some hard feelings, but it’s up to those three dudes to decide if they ever want to do something or not. If they would decide to do I would support it wholeheartedly and I would do whatever I could to be involved. But it’s up to them.”
