As previously reported, Aj Pero, drummer of TWISTED SISTER and ADRENALINE MOB passed away on March 20th at the age of 55. Pero was found dead inside a tour bus in Poughkeepsie, New York, where his band ADRENALINE MOB was scheduled to have a concert at The Chance.
Today (April 6), the surviving members of TWISTED SISTER – Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Eddie Ojeda and Mark Mendoza – have announced that they will be performing a tribute concert in order to help the family of AJ Pero on June 13th at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. Dee Snider was asked via Twitter about what caused the death of his friend and TWISTED SISTER bandmate AJ Pero and he replied:
“Massive heart attack. Advanced heart disease.”
When asked by X17 at LAX whither or not TWISTED SISTER will continue with Mr. Pero, Snider responded:
“Will we continue to play? Probably for his family, because his family will benefit from us playing, financially. [There are] five original members of Twisted Sister, and he’s the first one we’ve lost. And the band is heartbroken.”
