HELSTAR – Announce New Bassist

A new statement has been issued by HELSTAR:

“As most you guys know, Helstar has experienced many lineup changes throughout the years. It happens, not just to us, but to almost every band out there. For the last album cycle, we made the decision to carry on as a four piece band and only have session bass players record or perform live shows. However, we have recently come to a juncture where we feel that as a band we need stability and we need to be a complete band again. After much thought, there was only one person that we felt could come in and not only kick ass on bass, but also be an intricate part of this band. We are very excited to officially announce the new bass player for Helstar, Garrick Smith! Over the past year, Garrick has been our touring bassist here in the US, so many of you have already seen and heard him. He’s a monster on stage, as well as a monster player!

Catch Garrick at our last show of the year this Friday, December 19th at Fitzgerald’s: 2706 White Oak Dr, Houston, Texas. Our performance, as part of day one of “End of the World Fest III”, will feature a special 30-year salute to the debut album “Burning Star”, in addition to songs off our current album “This Wicked Nest”. Special guest acts include (upstairs & downstairs) Mothership, Relayer, Blood Royale, Apocalyptic, Toxic Steel, Bowel, Oceans Of Slumber, Switchblade Jesus, Project Armageddon, The Dirty Seeds, The Scourge, Crusher.
