UK-based melodic death metallers, ENGRAVED DISILLUSION, have revealed the artwork for their upcoming album, The Eternal Rest, provided by Colin Marks of Rain Song Design.
Colin Marks states: “For Engraved Disillusions artwork, although the general look is very isolated and bleak, I wanted it also to have a quite peaceful and serene tone, nothing negative. I wanted the artwork to reflect the music. The inclusion of the singular figure throughout is intended to represent an individual journey, be it literal or metaphorical. The landscapes needed to be desolate but beautiful. It was all shot through various regions in Iceland, which is a country that features quite often in my work because it is so stunning but also has a slightly lonely and isolated look. It was refreshing to work on a layout that relied much more on original photography and less on photoshop, and it’s one I’m very proud of.”
