Southern California hardcore thrash crossover act OBSCENE GESTURE have unveiled a video for the song “Violence Is Coming” off the band’s recently released sophomore effort, “The Truth Be Told”. “This video definitely is not for the faint of heart, which is why we decided to put a disclaimer at the beginning to let people know”, explains vocalist/rhythm guitarist Guy Green. “We did a couple of different edits and thought about taking out some of the most graphic footage but in the end I said, “fuck it – let’s just go with the original idea.” I mean, there’s some pretty gory stuff in there but we wanted something that really gets the point across. I’ve seen my share of violence growing up in the ‘hood and we all are confronted with it through the media on a daily basis whether we like it or not.”
“The Truth Be Told” features the revamped line-up of Green, Vincent D. (of BODY COUNT) on bass and lead guitar, Vence Simpson (formerly of L.A.’s legendary TORMENTOR) on lead guitar and bass, and Lamar Little on drums. The band’s 2007 debut album, “Living In Profanity”, included former AGENT STEEL members, Chuck Profus (drums), George Robb (bass), and Juan Garcia (guitar), alongside Guy Green and Vincent D.
