Legendary original IRON MAIDEN singer PAUL DI’ANNO returns to Poland this week to play a string of live shows as part of the Doładowanie festival 2014. The festival is an annual non-profit initiative of young Polish musicians and consists of five concerts in five Polish cities. Di’Anno’s show at Lizard Club in Kraków on April 9th will be recorded for the purposes of a future live DVD release.
Despite the above announced shows, Di’Anno issued the following statement in December about his retirement:
“For anyone who doesn’t already know – I am retiring. But, there are still have a bunch of shows to do, that could not physically be placed into 2013 – even though I was contracted to do them during that period. So there’s those shows (here and there) mostly in far off places, that I’ll keep my word to perform at. Hope to see many of you metal heads at some of them.”
