As the eagerly-awaited debut recordings from ex-Morbid Angel frontman Steve Tucker’s newest death metal outfit, WARFATHER, near release this Winter — collected on the faction’s war-ready full-length, Orchestrating The Apocalypse — the very first track from the band to be set loose upon the population is now slaying at Decibel Magazine.

The third of twelve chapters of the Orchestrating The Apocalypse storyline, “My Queen Shall Not Be Mourned” is the perfect track to make a first impression of what the WARFATHER campaign is all-about. Tucker’s guttural bellow declares battle with the utmost urgency amidst a backdrop of searing guitar sweeps and scaleblazing leads, while a belittling salvo of technical blastbeatings systematically raze everything in earshot. “Though my queen has died, I will not mourn her loss. She has given me my future, my seed and my blood will live on…”

Prepare for the end with the appropriate death metal soundtrack with “My Queen Shall Not Be Mourned” at Decibel Magazine now RIGHT HERE.

Greyhaze Records has also confirmed the European release date for WARFATHER’s Orchestrating The Apocalypse, unleashing it through Plastic Head Distribution on February 24th, 2014, just after the North American released date previously confirmed as January 21st. The new projectfronted by guitarist/vocalist Steve Tucker sees the man back to fronting a death metal outfit, over a decade after his departure from Morbid Angel, and over two years since his participation as a vocalist and writer in the well-received Nader Sadek project. After recruiting a crew of internationally-based executioners to complete the WARFATHER lineup, the band recorded the album at Cincinnati-based TME Studios, with Tucker handling recording duties, after which it was finalized at Maor Applebaum Mastering. With over forty minutes of material, Orchestrating The Apocalypse brutalizes in a relentless style that builds on the work laid on the three Tucker-fronted Morbid Angel albums — Formulas Fatal To The Flesh, Gateways To Annihilation and Heretic — delivering an intense, debilitating performance while infusing unique even bizarre atmospheric elements, elevating the album to a cutting-edge status.
