Are you ready for the most disappointing news of 2012? The big BLACK SABBATH reunion tour is now called off. Due to the obvious contract dispute going on between Bill Ward and the band, along with the fact that lead guitarist Tony Iommi is still doing ongoing treatment for lymphoma, Sabbath is forced to pull out of all of scheduled festival appearances with the exception of Download Festival in Donnington, UK. Turns out Ozzy will now be instead performing a special “Ozzy & Friends” set. The show will feature special appearances from guest musicians including Geezer Butler, who will join the Ozzman for a special Sabbath set in support of Iommi, and former OZZY guitarist Zakk Wylde will rejoin Ozzy for the shows as well. Ex-GNR great Slash will be at select events, as well as other special guests.
Still no word on who is going to play drums for the one Sabbath reunion date. If it’s not Bill Ward, who will it be?
