Italian melodic death band GRAVEWORM announced that founder/guitarist Stefan Unterpertinger had returned to the band. Unterpertinger returned to the fold after a ten year absence, replacing outgoing guitarist Thomas Orgler, who left the band for personal reasons.
In other Graveworm personnel changes, keyboardist Sabine Mair has also left the band due to personal reasons. Vocalist Stefano Fiori had the following comments on the changes:
“It’s a pity not to have Thomas and Sabine in the band anymore. But of course we wish them all the best for their future. All the more, we are glad to have Stefan back in the band. We practice hardly and we feel that there’s still good chemistry between us.
“With Stefan a GRAVEWORM founding member is back, so: welcome home, Stefan!”
The band’s “Fragments of Death” release is available now through Nuclear Blast Records.
