BLACKGATES – Launch YouTube Page, Issue New Update

Den Headz, BLACKGATES, featuring ex-ANTHRAX vocalist Dan Nelson, have issued the following statement via Facebook:

“Happy New Year METAL Heads! The BLACKGATES youtube page is now up, and BlackGates has gone full steam ahead! Were shooting to have a record out by the summer, so we can get this thing on the road!! Stay tuned…more super bad ass announcements to come!”

According to BLABBERMOUTH.NET, former ANTHRAX frontman Dan Nelson, who was in the band for nearly two years — from late 2007 until July 2009 — filed suit recently over the fallout from his departure from the veteran metal group. Nelson says drummer Charlie Benante, bassist Frank Bello and guitarist Scott Ian falsely stated in “numerous interviews” that he had “abruptly resigned” after getting sick, forcing a cancelation of a tour. The $2.65-million suit also alleges that Benante last month told BLABBERMOUTH.NET that Nelson “was a bully.”
