Following the announcement that GUNS N’ ROSES would be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year, there’s been plenty of speculation regarding which members of the band will be included. Now Rock Hall CEO Joel Peresman has confirmed who’s in.
“Who will be invited, obviously, is the original five [that made Appetite for Destruction] and [keyboardist] Dizzy [Reed] and [drummer] Matt [Sorum],” Peresman said during an interview on Eddie Trunk Live (via hennemusic).
So, that means Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, Steven Adler, plus Reed and Sorum (who joined in 1990) will become members of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. However, it has yet to be made clear who, exactly, will perform at the April 14 ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio.
Although Peresman suggested, “Everyone said they’re coming,” guitar god Slash said that wasn’t true in his case. He tweeted: “For the record, I didn’t RSVP, or in any way commit to attending the RRHF.”
