OMEN featuring mastermind Kenny Powell have signed a worldwide deal with the German Label Pure Steel Records. The band works on a production with their 9th official release “Hammer damage”, which will be reeleased in the 3rd quarter of 2011. After some changes of band members at the vocalist and drums section half a year before, everybody thought OMEN would have got completed the best line up they could find, but listen yourself to the Pre-Song named Epitaph auf on their official My Space page (http://www.myspace.com/omenofficial) with the new OMEN: Kenny Powell (G)-Andy Haas (B) Wampa (Drums) and new vocalist Matt Story.
The comment from the label to the deal was: We are very happy that one of the best US-Metal bands from the 80s will work with us and we are all very excited waiting for the new LP and CD which will become a classic OMEN album in the style of their early works. So we are prepared for another “Battle cry”!

“Epic Power Metal band Omen has signed with Pure Steel Records. The world wide deal with the fast rising German based label is for all manufactured product and starts with their much anticipated release “ Hammer Damage “. In addition to the CD, Pure Steel will also press a run of old school vinyl for the new Omen release. With songs like the Flesh Ripping title cut, Hammer Damage and other soon to be classic Anthems including, Epitaph, Era of Crisis, The Canyon, and Knights of the Crimson Cross, founding member guitarist, Kenny Powell along with new vocalist, Matt Story, long time bassist, Andy Haas and veteran touring drummer, Wampa. Omen is poised for a return to the Glory days of Metal when they were cranking out some of the all time Metal War Hymns like “ Battle Cry ” and “ Warning of Danger”. “ Hammer Damage “ is due to be released later this year and the band is already planning extensive world wide touring to support this up-coming Monster.”
