Though they haven’t exactly been a staple of the scene since reforming, it appears that Minneapolis, MN hardcore/metal band Disembodied will finally be breaking up for good following one final show this summer. The group states that their final show will take place in Minneapolis in July (their final non-local appearance will be at this next month’s Krazy Fest). According to the band, “It’s ending on a good note. Nothing bad to report. It’s just run it’s course… It’s been an amazing journey and we feel very lucky to have been able to do this again.”
Originally formed in 1995, Disembodied released two full-length’s in the late-90s before dissolving (members went on to launch Martyr A.D.) in 1999.
Fast forward nearly 10 years and the band reformed, playing occasional shows and making plans to put out a new album. Said album had at one time been scheduled for a 2010 release via Good Fight Music. There is no word at this time whether any of their unreleased material (if even recorded) will ever see the light of day.
