Four of the heaviest bands of all time, METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH and ANTHRAX, made history when they shared one stage for the one and only U.S. Big 4 appearance, this past Saturday (April 23rd) at Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. Award winning bassist Dug Mug Swanson snapped some rocking photos of the historic event (see all of them above and below). Even if you weren’t there, Swanson’s photos do a great job at capturing the epic atmosphere and the glory that each one of these musicians must have been feeling, standing before a swelled crowd of over 60,000 plus devoted metal fans.
