The World. The Flesh. The Devil is set as the title of the Metal Blade debut from Uppsala Sweden’s IN SOLITUDE. Cover art for The World. The Flesh. The Devil, out May 24, consists of a shadowy portrait chosen from a collection of images by artists Jesse Peper.

“At first, we had a very hard time trying to make our world and our material visual as an album cover. A few collaborations were made, thousands of ideas were put on test, but sadly enough, we were never satisfied. But as we came across the exceptional and amazing world of Jesse Peper, and the specific shadow portrait you see on the cover (not to forget the ones that live within its pages), it was as if we all remembered something. Like out of a dream, or distant memory. Of a face that told us to step into this darkness; the darkness in which the seeds of IN SOLITUDE grow and bloom. And with Jesse Peper we certainly came closer. And we are always coming closer; further away and closer home. And the cover depicts our guide, on burning paths.” Hornper – on behalf of IN SOLITUDE

Pelle Ahman (vocals), Niklas Lindstrom (guitar), Henrik Palm (guitar), Gottfrid Ahman (bass), and Uno Bruniusson (drums) entered Nicke Andersson’s (THE HELLACOPTERS, ENTOMBED, IMPERIAL STATE ELECTRIC) brand new studio, Gutterview Recorders, in Stockholm Sweden with producer Fred Estby (DISMEMBER) back in November to record the band’s sophomore album The World. The Flesh. The Devil. “From the first meeting with Fred, we knew that we wanted to work with him. He fully understood our needs and what we are aiming to create. After hearing his work, we knew that he was also a fan of organic production. This is very important to us. His studio is recently built and we are thrilled to be one of the first bands to record within its walls” comments the band.
