Den Headz, SARGON’s debut album entitled In Contempt will be officially released physically on Tuesday, March 1st, 2011. The album will be released by the band independently and will be made available for purchase at CD baby, amazon, ebay, and through the band’s official Band Camp site (http://sargon.bandcamp.com). The band will also release the album worldwide through digital distribution at ITunes and partner sites; they will make an official announcement once the digital distribution sites make the material, which has already been submitted, available.
“In Contempt” will consist of 8 songs which were recorded throughout the year 2010. The writing sessions for “In Contempt” commenced immediately after the release of the band’s first demo entitled “The Vehemence EP” which was released in February 2009. “In Contempt” was 100% financed by the band; hence, the reason why it took so long to complete. SARGON are very pleased with the way the record turned out, and it is accurate to say that the record cost the band a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. We had many obstacles completing the record — time and money being the main ones.
Check out the album artwork above. The track list for the album is as follows:
1. In Contempt
2. The Hunger
3. Drowning In Sorrow
4. Attack
5. Crestfallen
6. Restless
7. Dead In Vain
8. Thrash N’ Roll
The record was Produced by SARGON, recorded and mixed by Ignacio Molino at PTY Studios, and Mastered by Eric Koondel at The Audio Refinery (Florida).
Here’s an official statement from the band:
“It is of great importance to add that as of February 16, 2011 SARGON has officially been added to TMD Lethal Promotions Promo Roster. The band is very excited to begin working with TMD and Randy “Rocket Cody” since they are a well known, professional, and respected within the industry. We hope that with TMD’s leadership the band is able to break through and make it to the next level in this hard and often cruel business.
The band has high hopes for the future and we feel that with TMD we will be able to get our band’s name out there and hopefully secure a record deal for our next album.
We will also be announcing tour plans to go out in support of “In Contempt” in the Heavy Metal trenches very soon.
We hope you enjoy the album and we are more than looking forward to go out and play live which is what it’s all about. We feel that the music and message of this record will be best expressed in a live situation.
Special thanks from SARGON to the following people who have helped this record become a reality:
Gus Rios (Malevolent Creation) Ignacio Molino, Eric Koondel, and last but not least Randy “Rocket” Cody of The Metal Den.”
