Some unfortunate news to report… HOSTILITY has broken up. Say it ain’t so. Yes, it’s true. Here’s the band’s official statement:
“After 14 years, eight releases, hundreds of shows, countless miles travelled, and many, many great times… and bottles of whiskey, Hostility has decided to disband. We would sincerely like to thank each and every one of you ragers out there that have supported Hostility through the years, We have some of the rowdiest, craziest fans out there and have had such a great time, we never would have made it this far without you, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. This is the end of Hostility, but not the end of our musical careers, keep an eye out in the future for new projects!”
“HOSTILITY’s new CD is Set In Stone and let me just say that this record is one of the heaviest of the year – destined to find itself among TMD’s top ten list of best metal CD’s of 2010. With an unholy death/thrash-pummeling from hell unleashed on my ears – thanks to a non-stop onslaught of merciless face annihilators like “Leader of The Rejects”, “Aces and Eights” and “Flesh Doll”, I continue to be impressed by this young band’s unrelenting determination to destroy anything in their path, sonically speaking. The intensely brutal-sounding eleven track collection was engineered, mixed and mastered by one of the top names around, Juan Urteaga, who has worked with metal’s elite: MACHINE HEAD, TESTAMENT and EXODUS. The production you get on Set In Stone is a notch above the rest and features some purely inventive musical decimation by lead axe Tony Vorrises and the vocalist with the throat from the bowels of Hades, Greg Haran.” – Randy “Rocket” Cody, The Metal Den
“RIP to a great metal band! RESPECT, BROTHERS!
I am HONORED to say that I was one of those that actually
saw you perform live and partied down together afterward! Ha!
You got yer pull… and then some. Dime’s more
than PROUD of what you all accomplished, trust me
on that one!”
