WHITECHAPEL has split with drummer Kevin Lane. Lane has returned home to Kingsport, Tennessee and will be rerturning back to school studies. In his place, the band has reportedly recruited Ben Harclerode, drummer for Glendale, Arizona band Knights Of The Abyss, to replace him.

In related news, Knoxville, TN’s WHITECHAPEL are pleased to announce the Welcome to Hell Tour that kicks off in the band’s hometown on February 10 and finishes up in Memphis, TN on March 25. Joining WHITECHAPEL on the band’s headline run are The Acacia Strain, Veil of Maya, Chelsea Grin, and I declare war. Guitarist and founding member Alex Wade comments; “We are very excited to announce our first major market headliner in support of ‘A New Era of Corruption’ dubbed the Welcome to Hell Tour. It will be a big one for us so we chose really solid support bands that are not only our good friends but great bands as well. Given the lineup, this is surely to be the heaviest tours of 2011 so don’t miss it!”
