TMD has obtained an extremely rare audience recording from one of the earliest known MEGADETH shows at The Stone in San Francisco, California on February 17, 1984. The lineup features a young, foul-mouthed Dave Mustaine on guitar and vocals, along with future SLAYER member Kerry King on guitar, David “Junior” Ellefson on bass guitar, and Lee Rausch on Drums.
After having got the boot from METALLICA, Mustaine was definitely out to prove himself and you can hear all the truly over-the-top arrogance and then some from a baby Dave on this historic cut.
Mustaine later said, “After getting fired from Metallica, all I remember is that I wanted blood. Theirs. I wanted to be faster and heavier than them.”

Man, this is the clearest recording I have ever heard of this show. Thanks! i have a recording of the whole show, but it is hardly listenable. I can actually hear Kerry’s solo on here! A real treasure.
Btw, if whoever has this concert is interested in bootleg trading, I have a shitload of bootlegged concerts and rare demos, and I would love to trade for this concert.
Thrash on!
Jeff
That sounded like a blender,a mixer,a vacuum cleaner,a hair dryer, and a castrated male trying to rape a cat, until the leaf blower, chain saw&buzzsaw got into it-the cat is no longer a virgin..
