TMD has obtained an extremely rare live 1975 recording of VAN HALEN covering LED ZEPPELIN’s classic song entitled “Trampled Under Foot”, which came off Zeppelin’s 1975 album Physical Graffiti.
Before they were selling out arenas, David, Eddie, Alex and Michael were killing it in the Hollywood club scene, most notably at Gazzarri’s… which was ultimately demolished and became Billboard Live in 1996. In 1998, the legendary location became The Key Club.
Wolf boy Van Halen may have replaced Michael Anthony on bass guitar in recent years… but history cannot be erased. This is the greatest lineup the band ever put forth (Sorry, Sammy), and the listener will be treated to a time when rock was fun and not some strenuous popularity game, like it is today. The song undoubtedly has one of the coolest verses in rock history:
Dig my heavy metal
Underneath your hood
Baby I can work all night
Believe I got the perfect tools
