WAKING THE CADAVER – New Album Details

tmd

England’s Siege of Amida Records will release Beyond Cops. Beyond God, the new album from New Jersey’s WAKING THE CADAVER, in North America on August, 10th. Produced by Joe Cincotta (Suffocation, Internal Bleeding) and featuring incredibly visual art/packaging by Tony Khoel (The Black Dahlia Murder), Beyond Cops. Beyond God is the band’s first album to see proper American distribution.

With Beyond Cops. Beyond God, the five-piece go for broke delivering a lethal collection of unrelenting death-meets-gore-meets-grind-meets-hardcore anthems that will have the weak feverously running for cover. A renewed commitment to the cause, with two new members now in their ranks, the album is a frightening, high caliber platter that will pierce any shell on impact.

To build up the album’s release, WAKING THE CADAVER have confirmed dates that will begin June 18 and currently run through July 30. Additional performances are planned for Canada. Regarding the upcoming tour, drummer Dennis Morgan says, “We are eager to show off our new material and see all of our fans again. These shows are going to be action-packed and full of pent-up energy that we have be waiting to release on the metal scene for quite some time now. Come see us in your state this summer.”

WAKING THE CADAVER have never apologized for anything and they are not about to start now. The band’s self-penned “slamming gore groove” has made an impact with audiences as fans and the curious have logged nearly four million views to the band’s MySpace page since launch. The band, currently featuring vocalist Don Campan, guitarists Rob Wharton and Mike Mayo, bassist Steve Vermilyea with Morgan, formed in 2006. The band’s debut, 2008’s Perverse Recollections of a Necromangler, has sold nearly 8000 copies via direct or independent means, triggering keen label interest in signing the band. England’s Siege of Amida stepped up to the plate signing the band earlier this year. Label co-owner Jamie Graham notes, “Waking The Cadaver bring a perfect blend of slam, death metal and hardcore. Grooves, speed, breakdowns, powerful vocals, dynamics, it’s all there on this record. They have manged to balance influences with creative force, forging their own devastating sound. It is a sickeningly heavy onslaught made for the live circuit to lose their heads to.”
