EXODUS guitarist/songwriter Gary Holt weighs in on the band’s participation in the twentieth anniversary tour for MEGADETH’s Rust In Peace – considered by many to be one of thrash metal’s most influential albums – which launches in Spokane, Washington on March 1st:
“I am so stoked to be a part of this tour with our long-time friends Megadeth and Testament! This will prove to be a thrash metal wet dream and I cannot wait to get the party started and hit the road on this beast of a tour! It’s been about six years since we last toured with Megadeth and after all these long years, this will be our first one with Testament, so I for one am fired up! Let the bloodbath begin!”
The forefathers of Bay Area thrash are winding down a North American tour with Arch Enemy, Arsis and Mutiny Within in support their new DVD, Shovel Headed Tour Machine: Live At Wacken And Other Assorted Atrocities. Video footage of their recent DVD premiere in Los Angeles can be viewed here.
The band’s ninth studio album, Exhibit B: The Human Condition was recorded this past December in Northern California with producer Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Arch Enemy, Kreator). A spring release date is anticipated.
