German metal outfit ARMA GATHAS has just signed an exclusive worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records.
The band’s debut, “Dead To This World,” will be released the 23rd/26th of April in Europe and the 27th of April in North America.
Arma Gathas, consisting of former Cataract guitarist Simon Fülleman, ex-Born From Pain singer Ché Snelting, Machinemade God and ex-Cornelius guitarist Marc Niedersberg, ex-Disloyal drummer and talented drum student Max van Winkelhof and Alex Härtel on bass, recorded their debut album “Dead To This World” in November 2009 at the Barracs Studios together with Sky Hoff as a producer, who worked with Caliban in the past. Mastering was done by the legendary Alan Douches at the West West Side Studio in New York together with Simon in early-December.
This is what singer Ché Snelting, has to say about the signing to Metal Blade:
“This is yet another dream come true in the short existence of the band. From evolving from just being an idea Simon was working on, to working with the right people in the band where everything falls in place. From recording, mixing and mastering the record with the perfect people for the job to working with the right artists to translate our ideas into the the records layout.
“And now we signed a deal with the most legendary hard and heavy label in the world! We couldn`t have wished for a better chance to spread our music and message. I have never been this proud in my life. Arma Gathas is everything we as a band and as people stand for. It is real. Just like Metal Blade. We can`t wait to show this record to the world, we are so proud of the result!”
“Dead To This World” consists of 13 songs, ranging from bludgeoning aggression and frustration in its purest form to atmospheric interludes and music pieces.
