JUDAS PRIEST – Debut New Black Sabbath “War Pigs” Cover

JUDASPRIEST have dropped an updated version of their cover of Black Sabbath’s classic “War Pigs,” now featuring posthumously released vocals from the late Ozzy Osbourne.

While Judas Priest were unable to take part in the July 5th ‘Back To The Beginning’ farewell celebration for Osbourne and Black Sabbath—due to prior touring obligations with The Scorpions—the band instead issued their own cover of “War Pigs” on July 2nd.

Longtime friend and peer Rob Halford revealed just how deeply Osbourne’s passing on July 22nd affected him, telling Talkin’ Rock with Meltdown that he “curled up in a ball and bawled” for hours after receiving the news.

Proceeds from the single in the UK will benefit both The Glenn Tipton Parkinson’s Foundation—established by Judas Priest’s guitarist after stepping down from live duties in 2018 following his Parkinson’s diagnosis—and Cure Parkinson’s, a charity personally chosen by Osbourne for proceeds from the ‘Back To The Beginning’ show.
