MUDVAYNE – Debut New Single

Gold-selling progressive nü-metal band MUDVAYNE have dropped their first new single in 16 years, “Hurt People Hurt People“. That song sports production from Nick Raskulinecz (Deftones, Foo Fighters) and mixing from Josh Wilbur (Lamb Of God, Korn). It’s also the group’s first output through their latest label home of Alchemy Records, a label venture co-founded by festival promoter Danny Wimmer.

This is said to be the first of more to come, as past comments from the wife of frontman Chad Gray implied more than one new track had been mixed. Commenting on the comeback track himself, Gray stated:

“I think I wrote this song as a reminder to myself to break the cycle. We create our own suffering, our own hurt. It’s time for us to create self-love and let go of the pain. It was never ours to begin with.”

This new single will lead the band into their impending 25th anniversary tour for their debut album “L.D. 50“. That run will also see ‘evil disco’ outfit Static-X celebrating 25 years of their platinum-selling debut album “Wisconsin Death Trip“.

Support for the trek will be Vended, the alternative metal outfit who feature the sons of two Slipknot members.
