On Monday, February 10, 2025, a tragic incident occurred at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Arizona involving a private jet owned by Mötley Crüe’s lead vocalist, Vince Neil. The aircraft, a Learjet 35A, veered off the runway during landing and collided with a parked Gulfstream G-200 business jet. Vince Neil was not on board at the time of the accident.

Additionally, the co-pilot sustained injuries, and a fifth individual refused medical treatment. The dogs accompanying the passengers survived the incident.

Preliminary reports suggest that the Learjet’s left main landing gear failed upon landing, causing the aircraft to veer off the runway and collide with the stationary Gulfstream. The exact cause of the landing gear failure is currently under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

In response to the incident, Vince Neil’s legal representative stated, “Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today.” Mötley Crüe also expressed their condolences, noting the loss of the pilot and the injuries sustained by the passengers.

The Scottsdale Airport was temporarily closed following the accident but has since reopened. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.
